Since opening in 2002, Indique, coined by the marriage of India and Unique, has strived to redefine Indian dining in the district
UNIQUE INDIAN FLAVORS
A fixture in the historic Cleveland Park neighborhood, the restaurant sits in a beautiful two-story space filled with bold colors, rich fabric, and white marble railings. True to its mantra of Unique Indian Flavors, the diverse kitchen features modern twists on classical fare from across the Indian subcontinent, and continues to create innovative takes on American favorites including lamb chops, salmon, and shepherd's pie. A pioneer in Indian dining, Indique was recently honored by Zagat as one of "DC's Best Indian restaurants" - Zagat 2015
We recently launched a new menu + cocktail program and refreshed the interiors of the space, which was highlighted by the Washington Post.

To start, we will be running a new member promotion where monthly passes will be $35.

Are there Private Rooms?
No, we do not have private rooms for team meetings or phone calls. You are of course free to use your phones or meet with friends, though we ask you do so in a respectful manner.
If I am not a member, but I really like Chai. Can I just buy a chai?
Yes. Non-members can purchase tea, coffee, or chai to go - but only Chai+Wifi members are allowed to stay and work at the restaurant during operating hours. We do this to preserve the community-based nature of the space.
Wait, but isn't Indique a restaurant?
Yes, we are! We are not changing our restaurant operating hours or service in any way, shape, or form.
So, why are you doing this?
Quite simply, we were having trouble finding a place to work out of that met our needs and was affordable.
We work remotely a lot, but didn't want to pay for a desk at a co-working space (i.e. WeWork), as it felt too pricey. We also like coffee shops, but didn't love working out of them. At many places it's often hard to find a seat, the wi-fi can be shoddy, lack of nearby power outlets is less than ideal, and we actually ended up spending quite a bit every day, as we'd buy more items every hour or two so we didn't feel like we were loitering.
Frustrated with our options, by default we ended up working out of the restaurant most days, and it turned out to be a pretty sweet place to work out of. It has great sunlight, strong wi-fi, plenty of seating, and delicious chai, and the restaurant was closed anyhow during the daytime, so it made for a pretty perfect workspace. A few months in, we started thinking that some friends and neighbors may want to come work with us as well - and thus Chai + Wifi was born.
This sounds awesome, how do I sign-up?
Stop on in anytime during operating hours and we'll get you all hooked up!
